Blogging for Success Course – Origin Story

It was a dark and stormy night. No, it wasn’t. It was late night, though, when my writer pal, Anu Anniah, a night owl like me, messaged me about joining a platform for women called Garden of Neuro. Given my packed life, I wasn’t sure of getting into yet another venture. However, I joined, and am I glad.

Susan Brearley has created a safe, peaceful space for women to express their creativity, and I found myself getting published in a Safe and Brave Space, an Anthology of Poems and Art, within weeks. I was amazed at the speed and grace with which the intrepid Lisa Tomey led us through the process.

Then Susan and the ideator, Nanci Arvizu, seasoned veterans of Medium, started talking to me about creating a Blogging course. I blog on WordPress, and was glad to use my instructional design and facilitation background to create a curriculum and course content for such an interesting topic.

The result – we are now truly excited to offer the Blogging for Success course. The Starter Course is now open for registration. This course covers everything you need to know to start blogging and the why’s what’s, how’s etc. Get started writing your first, or next, blog and publishing it on a new or existing platform. You can then move to Intermediate and Advanced courses.

Click here for course fees and registration.

You can view the classes at your pace, so anyone across the world can take this course. You will learn with a cohort so you have a peer group to use for support, in addition to the instructors. A bonus is that you will immediately get access to a wonderful community in the Garden, an immediate audience for your newly minted blog.

Do you want to build your personal brand? Do you want to practice writing? Do you want to share your knowledge or hobby with the world? Your objectives for blogging can be varied, and we’ll examine that at the beginning of the session, and build from there. So sign up if interested, and hope to see you in the course soon.
